s 22
(1) An offshore company may, by special resolution, Change resolve that its name should be changed to a name by which of name. the company could have been registered without contravention of section 21 (1).
(2) If the Registrar approves the name which the company has resolved should be its new name, he shall, on payment of the prescribed fee, issue a certificate of incorporation of the company under the new name and upon the issue of such certificate of incorporation the change of name shall become effective.
(3) If the name of an offshore company is (whether through inadvertence or otherwise and whether originally or by a change of name) a name by which the company could

III, S. 22-24] not be registered without contravention of section 21(1), the company may, by special resolution, change its name to a name by which the company could be registered without contravention of that subsection and, if the Registrar so directs, shall so change it within six weeks after the date of direction or such longer period as the Registrar allows, unless the Minister, by written notice, annuls the direction, and if the company fails to comply with the direction it shall be guilty of an offence against this Act. Penalty: One thousand ringgit.
(4) A change of name pursuant to this Act shall not affect the identity of the offshore company or any rights or obligations of the company or render defective any proceedings by or against the company; and any legal proceedings that might have been continued or commenced by or against the company by its former name may be continued or commenced by or against the company by its new name.

(1) Sesuatu syarikat luar pesisir boleh, melalui ketetapan khas, membuat ketetapan bahawa namanya patut ditukar kepada suatu nama yang dengannya syarikat itu boleh didaftarkan tanpa melanggar seksyen 21 (1).
(2) Jika Pendaftar meluluskan nama yang syarikat itu telah membuat ketetapan sebagai patut menjadi nama barunya, dia hendaklah, apabila dibayar fee yang ditetapkan, mengeluarkan suatu perakuan pemerbadanan syarikat itu di bawah nama barunya dan apabila dikeluarkan perakuan pemerbadanan itu, pertukaran nama itu hendaklah berkuatkuasa.
(3) Jika nama sesuatu syarikat luar pesisir (sama ada dengan tidak sengaja atau selainnya dan sama ada pada asalnya atau melalui pertukaran nama) adalah suatu nama yang dengannya syarikat itu tidak boleh didaftarkan tanpa melanggar seksyen 21 (1), syarikat itu boleh, melalui ketetapan khas, menukar namanya kepada suatu nama yang dengannya syarikat itu boleh didaftarkan tanpa melanggar subseksyen itu dan, jika diarahkan demikian oleh : :

III, S. 22-24] Pendaftar, hendaklah menukarkannya dalam masa enam minggu selepas tarikh arahan itu atau dalam tempoh yang lebih lama yang dibenarkan oleh Pendaftar, melainkan jika Menteri, melalui notis bertulis, mengungkaikan arahan itu, dan jika syarikat itu tidak mematuhi arahan itu ia adalah melakukan suatu kesalahan terhadap Akta ini. Penalti: Satu ribu ringgit.
(4) Suatu pertukaran nama menurut Akta ini tidaklah• menyentuh identiti syarikat luar pesisir itu atau apa-apa hak atau obligasi syarikat itu atau mencacatkan apa-apa prosiding oleh atau terhadap syarikat itu; dan apa-apa prosiding undang-undang yang mungkin telah diteruskan atau dimulakan oleh atau terhadapnya melalui nama dahulunya bolehlah diteruskan atau dimulakan oleh atau terhadapnya dengan nama barunya.
