s 6 Abolition of husband’s liability for wife’s torts and ante-nuptial contracts, debts and obligations
Subject to this Act, the husband of a married woman shall not, by reason only of his being husband, be liable—
(a) in respect of any tort committed by her whether before or after the marriage, or in respect of any contract entered into, or debt or obligation incurred, by her before the marriage; or
(b) to be sued, or made a party to any legal proceeding brought, in respect of any such tort, contract, debt or obligation.

Penghapusan liabiliti suami bagi tort isteri dan kontrak sebelum perkahwinan, hutang dan obligasi
Tertakluk pada Akta ini, suami kepada seseorang perempuan bersuami tidak, semata-mata oleh sebab dia merupakan suami, bertanggungan—
(a) berkenaan dengan apa-apa tort yang dilakukan olehnya sama ada sebelum atau selepas perkahwinan, atau berkenaan dengan apa-apa kontrak yang dibuat, atau hutang atau obligasi yang ditanggung, olehnya sebelum perkahwinan; atau
(b) untuk dibawa guaman terhadapnya, atau dijadikan suatu pihak kepada apa-apa prosiding undang-undang yang dibawa, berkenaan dengan apa-apa tort, kontrak, hutang atau obligasi itu.
