Evidence Act 1950 s 81

s 81 Presumption as to Gazettes, newspapers, etc.

The court shall presume the genuineness of every document purporting to be the Gazette, a State Gazette or the London Gazette, or the Government Gazette of any part of the Commonwealth, or to be the Gazette issued by the local Government of any part of the Commonwealth, or to be a newspaper or journal, or to be a copy of a private Act of Parliament printed by Her Britannic Majesty’s Printer, and of every document purporting to be a document directed by any law to be kept by any person, if the document is kept substantially in the form required by law and is produced from proper custody. Anggapan tentang Warta, akhbar, dsb.

Mahkamah hendaklah menganggap ketulenan tiap-tiap dokumen yang berupa sebagai Warta, Warta Negeri, atau Warta London, atau Warta Kerajaan mana-mana bahagian Komanwel, atau sebagai Warta yang dikeluarkan oleh Kerajaan tempatan mana-mana bahagian Komanwel, atau berupa sebagai akhbar atau jurnal, atau sebagai salinan Akta persendirian Parlimen yang dicetak oleh Pencetak Kerajaan British, dan tiap-tiap dokumen yang berupa sebagai dokumen yang diarahkan oleh mana-mana undang-undang supaya disimpan oleh mana-mana orang, jika dokumen itu disimpan pada matannya mengikut cara yang dikehendaki oleh undang-undang dan dikemukakan daripada jagaan wajar.
