s 8 Alternate members
(1) The Minister may appoint a person to be an alternate member in respect of each of the members of the Board appointed under paragraphs 7(2)(f) and (g) to attend meetings of the Board in place of the member when the member is for any reason unable to attend.
(2) When attending meetings of the Board in place of a member, an alternate member or a representative of a member shall for all purposes be deemed to be a member of the Board.
(3) An alternate member may resign his office at any time by giving a month’s notice in writing to the Minister.
(4) The provisions of the Schedule shall apply to the members of the Board.

Anggota silih ganti
(1) Menteri boleh melantik seorang anggota silih ganti berkenaan dengan setiap anggota Lembaga yang dilantik di bawah perenggan 7(2)(f) dan 7(2)(g) untuk menghadiri mesyuarat Lembaga sebagai ganti anggota itu jika anggota itu tidak dapat hadir atas apa-apa sebab.
(2) Apabila menghadiri mesyuarat Lembaga sebagai ganti seseorang anggota, seseorang anggota silih ganti atau wakil seseorang anggota hendaklah bagi segala maksud disifatkan sebagai anggota Lembaga.
(3) Seseorang anggota silih ganti boleh meletakkan jawatan pada bila-bila masa dengan memberikan satu bulan notis secara bertulis kepada Menteri.
(4) Peruntukan Jadual hendaklah terpakai bagi anggota Lembaga.
