s 22 Abatement of action
In the case of marriage, death or bankruptcy of any party—
(a) if the cause of action does not survive in accordance with Hukum Syarak, the proceedings shall abate, except as provided in paragraph (c);
(b) if the cause of action survives or continues in accordance with Hukum Syarak, the proceedings shall not abate or become defective; or
(c) in case of death after the conclusion of the trial but before judgment is delivered or entered, the proceedings shall not abate, and judgment may be delivered or entered.

Pemberhentian tindakan
Dalam hal perkahwinan, kematian atau kebankrapan mana-mana pihak—
(a) jika kausa tindakan itu tidak menakat mengikut Hukum Syarak, prosiding itu hendaklah terhenti, kecuali sebagaimana yang diperuntukkan dalam perenggan (c);
(b) jika kausa tindakan itu menakat atau berterusan mengikut Hukum Syarak, prosiding itu tidaklah terhenti atau menjadi cacat; atau
(c) dalam hal kematian selepas perbicaraan tetapi sebelum penghakiman diumumkan atau dicatatkan, prosiding itu tidaklah terhenti, dan penghakiman boleh diumumkan atau dicatatkan.
