Syariah Court Civil Procedure (Federal Territories) Act 1998 s 29
s 29 Minor plaintiff attaining majority
(1) A minor plaintiff shall, on attaining majority during the pendency of any proceedings, either withdraw the proceedings before taking any step therein or adopt the proceedings.
(2) No leave to withdraw shall be required, but Part XIII shall apply as regards to the matters.
(3) If the minor plaintiff withdraws his claim, he shall not be personally liable for costs, unless the Court otherwise orders.
(4) Where there are more than one plaintiff, the minor plaintiff shall not be entitled to withdraw without leave of Court but may apply to the Court to remove his name or, if he is a necessary party in the proceedings, delete his name as plaintiff and make him as defendant, on such terms as the Court may specify.
(5) If the proceedings are continued, the minor plaintiff shall apply to amend the title of the proceedings and the Court may amend the title and release his guardian ad litem.

Plaintif belum dewasa mencapai umur dewasa
(1) Seseorang plaintif belum dewasa hendaklah, apabila mencapai umur dewasa semasa prosiding belum selesai, sama ada menarik balik prosiding itu sebelum mengambil apa-apa langkah dalam prosiding itu atau meneruskan prosiding itu.
(2) Tiada kebenaran untuk menarik balik diperlukan, tetapi Bahagian XIII hendaklah terpakai mengenai perkara itu.
(3) Jika plaintif belum dewasa menarik balik tuntutannya, dia tidaklah bertanggungan sendiri terhadap kos, melainkan jika Mahkamah memerintahkan selainnya.
(4) Jika ada lebih daripada seorang plaintif, plaintif belum dewasa itu tidak berhak menarik balik tuntutannya, tanpa kebenaran
Mahkamah tetapi boleh memohon kepada Mahkamah untuk mengeluarkan namanya atau, jika dia ialah pihak yang perlu dalam prosiding itu, memotong namanya sebagai plaintif dan menjadikannya sebagai defendan, atas apa-apa terma yang ditentukan oleh Mahkamah.
(5) Jika prosiding itu diteruskan, plaintif belum dewasa itu hendaklah memohon untuk meminda tajuk prosiding itu dan Mahkamah bolehlah meminda tajuk itu dan melepaskan penjaga ad litemnya.
