(1) Nothing in this Act shall affect any right or privilege of any person, including the Government, under any written law, except in so far as that written law is inconsistent with this Act. (2) Nothing in this Act shall affect the rights of the Government or any person deriving title from the Government to sell, use or otherwise deal with articles forfeited under the laws relating to customs matters. (1) Tiada apa-apa jua dalam Akta ini boleh menjejaskan manamana hak atau keistimèwaan mana-mana orang, termasuk Kerajaan, di bawah mana-mana undang-undang bertulis, kecuali setakat yang undang-undang bertulis itu tidak selaras dengan Akta ini. (2) Tiada apa-apa jua dalam Akta ini boleh menjejaskan hak Kerajaan atau mana-mana orang yang hakmiliknya terbit daripada Kerajaan untuk menjual, menggunakan atau memperlakukan selainnya barang yang dilucuthakkan di bawah undang-undang berhubung dengan perkara-perkara kastam.
