s 79 Preservation of secrecy
(1) Except for the purpose of the performance of his duties or the exercise of his functions under this Act or when lawfully required to do so by any court or under the provisions of any written law, no person shall disclose any information or matter which has been obtained by him in the performance of his duties or the exercise of his functions under this Act.
(2) No person who has any information or matter which to his knowledge has been disclosed in contravention of subsection (1) shall disclose that information or matter to any other person.
(3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one million ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.

Pemeliharaan kerahsiaan
(1) Kecuali bagi maksud melaksanakan kewajipannya atau menjalankan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini atau apabila dikehendaki dengan sah oleh mana-mana mahkamah atau di bawah peruntukan mana-mana undang-undang bertulis supaya dilakukan tiada seorang pun boleh menzahirkan apa-apa maklumat atau perkara yang didapati olehnya dalam pelaksanaan kewajipannya atau penjalanan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Tiada seorang pun yang mempunyai apa-apa maklumat atau perkara yang pada pengetahuannya telah dizahirkan melanggar dengan subseksyen (1) boleh menzahirkan maklumat atau perkara itu kepada mana-mana orang lain.
(3) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila disabitkan boleh didenda tidak melebihi satu juta ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi satu tahun atau kedua-duanya.
