s 73 Order for reception of mentally disordered person
(1) Where upon an inquiry under this Part a person is found by the Court to be incapable of managing himself and his affairs due to his mental disorder but the Court does not appoint a committee of his person, the Court shall make an order for the person to be received into a government psychiatric hospital or a gazetted private psychiatric hospital and send him in suitable custody, together with the order for his reception, to the psychiatric hospital named in the order.
(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), if a friend or relative of the mentally disordered person satisfies the Court that he undertakes
to take proper care of the person and prevent him from injuring himself or others, the Court may, instead of making an order under the subsection, make an order handing him over to the care of the friend or relative.
(3) A person received into a psychiatric hospital by an order of the Court under subsection (1) shall, for the purpose of this Act, be deemed to be an involuntary patient.

Perintah bagi penerimaan orang yang bercelaru mental
(1) Jika selepas suatu siasatan di bawah Bahagian ini seseorang didapati oleh Mahkamah tidak berupaya untuk menguruskan dirinya dan hal ehwalnya akibat kecelaruan mental tetapi Mahkamah tidak melantik suatu jawatankuasa bagi dirinya, Mahkamah hendaklah membuat suatu perintah untuk orang itu diterima masuk ke dalam hospital psikiatri kerajaan atau hospital psikiatri swasta yang diwartakan dan menghantarnya dengan jagaan yang sesuai, bersama dengan perintah penerimaan masuknya,
ke hopsital psikiatri yang dinamakan dalam perintah itu.
(2) Walau apa pun subseksyen (1), jika seseorang rakan atau saudara orang bercelaru mental itu meyakinkan Mahkamah bahawa dia mengaku janji untuk menjaga orang itu dengan sepatutnya dan menghalangnya mencederakan dirinya atau orang lain, Mahkamah boleh, sebagai ganti membuat suatu perintah di bawah subseksyen itu, membuat suatu perintah menyerahkannya kepada jagaan rakan atau saudara itu.
(3) Seseorang yang diterima masuk ke dalam sesuatu hospital psikiatri dengan perintah Mahkamah di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah, bagi maksud Akta ini, disifatkan sebagai seorang pesakit tidak sukarela.
