Water Services Industry Act 2006 s 1
s 1 Short title, application and commencement
(1) This Act may be cited as the Water Services Industry Act 2006.
(2) This Act applies to Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan.
(3) This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette, and the Minister may appoint different dates—
(a) for the coming into operation of this Act in different parts of Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan;
(b) for the coming into operation of different provisions of this Act; or
(c) for the coming into operation of different provisions of this Act in different parts of Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan.
*NOTE—This Act is not yet in force.

Tajuk ringkas, pemakaian dan permulaan kuat kuasa
(1) Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Industri Perkhidmatan Air 2006.
(2) Akta ini terpakai bagi Semenanjung Malaysia dan Wilayah- Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya dan Labuan.
(3) Akta ini mula berkuat kuasa pada tarikh yang ditetapkan oleh Menteri melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta, dan Menteri boleh menetapkan tarikh-tarikh yang berlainan—
(a) bagi mula berkuat kuasanya Akta ini di bahagian-bahagian yang berlainan di Semenanjung Malaysia dan Wilayah- Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya dan Labuan;
(b) bagi mula berkuat kuasanya peruntukan-peruntukan yang berlainan Akta ini; atau
(c) bagi mula berkuat kuasanya peruntukan-peruntukan yang berlainan Akta ini di bahagian-bahagian yang berlainan di Semenanjung Malaysia dan Wilayah-Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya dan Labuan.
