s 174 Certifying agencies
(1) The Commission may register certifying agencies or classes of certifying agencies for the purposes of—
(a) approving plans, specifications or detailed designs with respect to the construction of the water supply system, sewerage system, septic tank individual internal sewerage piping and common internal sewerage piping;
(b) certifying persons referred to in section 50; and
(c) certifying compliance with technical standards made under any subsidiary legislation made under this Act.
(2) An approval by a registered certifying agency shall be deemed to be an approval by the Commission unless the Commission specify otherwise.

Agensi perakuan
(1) Suruhanjaya boleh mendaftarkan agensi perakuan atau kelas agensi perakuan bagi maksud—
(a) meluluskan pelan, spesifikasi atau reka bentuk terperinci berkenaan dengan pembinaan sistem bekalan air, sistem pembetungan, tangki septik, perpaipan pembetungan dalaman individu dan perpaipan pembetungan dalaman bersama;
(b) memperakukan orang yang disebut dalam seksyen 50; dan
(c) memperakukan pematuhan standard teknikal yang dibuat di bawah mana-mana perundangan subsidiari yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Sesuatu kelulusan oleh agensi perakuan berdaftar hendaklah disifatkan sebagai kelulusan oleh Suruhanjaya melainkan jika Suruhanjaya menyatakan selainnya.
