(1) The Commission shall, in response to a direction by the Minister, hold an inquiry on any matter of a general nature which relates to the administration of this Act or its subsidiary legislation.
(2) The Commission may hold an inquiry on any matter—
(a) in response to a written request from a person; or
(b) on its own initiative,
only if it is satisfied that the matter is of significant interest to either the public or to the current or prospective licensees under this Act.

Siasatan oleh Suruhanjaya
(1) Suruhanjaya hendaklah, sebagai respons kepada suatu arahan oleh Menteri, mengadakan siasatan ke atas apa-apa perkara yang bersifat am yang berkaitan dengan pentadbiran Akta ini atau perundangan subsidiarinya.
(2) Suruhanjaya boleh mengadakan siasatan ke atas apa-apa perkara—
(a) sebagai respons kepada suatu permintaan bertulis daripada seseorang; atau
(b) atas inisiatifnya sendiri,
hanya jika ia berpuas hati bahawa perkara itu mempunyai kepentingan yang ketara sama ada kepada orang awam atau kepada pemegang lesen semasa atau bakal pemegang lesen di bawah Akta ini.
