Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 s 42
s 42 Place of refuge
(1) The Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, declare any house, building or place, or any part thereof, to be a place of refuge for the care and protection of trafficked persons and may, in like manner, declare that such place of refuge ceases to be a place of refuge.
(2) The Minister may, from time to time, direct the separation of different categories of trafficked persons, among others, according to age and gender either at the same place of refuge or at different places of refuge.

Tempat perlindungan
(1) Menteri boleh, melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta, mengisytiharkan mana-mana rumah, bangunan atau tempat, atau mana-mana bahagian rumah, bangunan atau tempat itu, menjadi tempat perlindungan bagi jagaan dan perlindungan orang yang diperdagangkan dan boleh, dengan cara yang sama, mengisytiharkan bahawa tempat perlindungan itu terhenti menjadi suatu tempat perlindungan.
(2) Menteri boleh, dari semasa ke semasa, mengarahkan pengasingan kategori berlainan orang yang diperdagangkan, antara lain, mengikut umur dan jantina sama ada di tempat perlindungan yang sama atau di tempat perlindungan yang berlainan.
