s 49 Steps to be taken after medical examination or treatment

(1) A person who is taken into temporary custody under subsection 44(1) and is medically examined under section 46 shall be produced before a Magistrate within twenty-four hours— (a) of the completion of such examination or treatment; or (b) if the person is hospitalised, on his discharge from the hospital. (2) If it is not possible to bring that person before a Magistrate within the time specified in subsection (1), that person shall be placed in a place of refuge until such time as he can be brought before a Magistrate.

Langkah yang perlu diambil selepas pemeriksaan atau rawatan Perubatan

(1) Seseorang yang diambil ke dalam jagaan sementara di bawah subseksyen 44(1) dan diperiksa dari segi perubatan di bawah seksyen 46 hendaklah dibawa ke hadapan Majistret dalam masa dua puluh empat jam— (a) apabila selesai pemeriksaan atau rawatan itu; atau (b) jika orang itu dimasukkan ke hospital, apabila dibenarkan keluar dari hospital. (2) Jika adalah tidak mungkin untuk membawa orang itu ke hadapan Majistret dalam masa yang dinyatakan dalam subseksyen (1), orang itu hendaklah ditempatkan di tempat perlindungan sehingga suatu masa orang itu boleh dibawa ke hadapan Majistret.
