s 256 Agreements to exclude or restrict liability void
An agreement is void insofar as it purports to exclude or restrict the liability of a person for contravention of section 246, 248 or 249 or for loss or damage under section 357.

Perjanjian untuk mengecualikan atau mengehadkan tanggungan terbatal
Suatu perjanjian adalah terbatal setakat yang perjanjian itu berupa sebagai mengecualikan atau mengehadkan tanggungan seseorang bagi pelanggaran seksyen 246, 248 atau 249 atau bagi kehilangan atau kerugian di bawah seksyen 357. Penggal 4 Debentur Subpenggal 1 – Surat ikatan amanah, kewajipan pemegang amanah, peminjam, dsb.
