s 3 Approval and licence to establish or maintain, etc., pathology laboratory
(1) No person shall—
(a) establish or maintain a pathology laboratory in any premises without an approval granted under paragraph 8(a); or
(b) operate or provide a pathology laboratory without a licence granted under paragraph 16(a).
(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable—
(a) in the case of a sole proprietor—
(i) to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years, or to both; and
two thousand ringgit for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction; or
(b) in the case of a body corporate or partnership—
(i) to a fine not exceeding three hundred thousand ringgit; and
three thousand ringgit for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.

Kelulusan dan lesen untuk menubuhkan atau menyenggara, dsb., makmal patologi
(1) Tiada seorang pun boleh—
(a) menubuhkan atau menyenggara suatu makmal patologi dalam mana-mana premis tanpa kelulusan yang diberikan di bawah perenggan 8(a); atau
(b) mengendalikan atau menyediakan suatu makmal patologi tanpa lesen yang diberikan di bawah perenggan 16(a).
(2) Seseorang yang melanggar subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan—
(a) dalam hal tuan punya tunggal—
(i) didenda tidak melebihi dua ratus ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi sepuluh tahun, atau kedua-duanya; dan
melebihi dua ribu ringgit bagi tiap-tiap hari atau itu berterusan selepas sabitan; atau
(b) dalam hal pertubuhan perbadanan atau perkongsian—
(i) didenda tidak melebihi tiga ratus ribu ringgit; dan
melebihi tiga ribu ringgit bagi tiap-tiap hari atau itu berterusan selepas sabitan.
