s 72 Issues of policy
(1) The Bank shall keep the Minister informed of policies relating to its principal objects.
(2) In the event of a difference of opinion between the Minister and the Bank relating to its principal objects, the Minister and the Bank shall endeavour to reach an agreement.
(3) If the Minister and the Bank are unable to reach an agreement, the Board shall furnish to the Minister a statement in relation to the matter in respect of which the difference of opinion has arisen.
(4) The Minister shall then submit a recommendation together with the statement furnished by the Board under subsection (3) to the Cabinet.
(5) Acting on the recommendation of the Minister and the statement furnished by the Board, the Cabinet may determine the policy to be adopted by the Bank.
(6) The Minister shall inform the Bank of the policy as determined under subsection (5) and that the Government accepts responsibility for the policy.
(7) The Bank shall then give effect to the policy as determined under subsection (5).
(8) If the Board objects to the policy as determined under subsection (5), the Board may submit its objections and reasons therefor in writing to the Minister who shall cause the same together with the policy as determined under subsection (5) to be laid before the House of Representatives, or, if the House of Representatives is not then sitting, at the sitting of the following meeting of the House of Representatives.

Perkara dasar
(1) Bank hendaklah sentiasa memaklumkan Menteri tentang dasar-dasar yang berhubungan dengan matlamat utamanya.
(2) Sekiranya terdapat perbezaan pendapat antara Menteri dengan Bank berhubungan dengan matlamat utamanya, Menteri dan Bank hendaklah berikhtiar untuk mencapai suatu persetujuan.
(3) Jika Menteri dan Bank tidak dapat mencapai suatu persetujuan, Lembaga hendaklah memberikan kepada Menteri suatu pernyataan berhubung dengan perkara yang berkenaan dengannya perbezaan pendapat itu berbangkit.
(4) Menteri hendaklah kemudiannya mengemukakan suatu syor berserta dengan pernyataan yang diberikan oleh Lembaga di bawah subseksyen (3) kepada Jemaah Menteri.
(5) Bertindak atas syor Menteri dan pernyataan yang diberikan oleh Lembaga, Jemaah Menteri boleh menentukan dasar yang hendak diterima pakai oleh Bank.
(6) Menteri hendaklah memaklumkan Bank tentang dasar sebagaimana yang ditentukan di bawah subseksyen (5) dan bahawa Kerajaan bertanggungjawab bagi dasar itu.
(7) Bank hendaklah kemudiannya melaksanakan dasar itu sebagaimana yang ditentukan di bawah subseksyen (5).
(8) Jika Lembaga membantah dasar itu sebagaimana yang ditentukan di bawah subseksyen (5), Lembaga boleh mengemukakan bantahan dan sebab-sebabnya secara bertulis kepada Menteri yang hendaklah membentangkannya berserta dengan dasar itu sebagaimana yang ditentukan di bawah subseksyen (5) di hadapan Dewan Rakyat, atau, jika Dewan Rakyat tidak bersidang, pada persidangan dalam mesyuarat Dewan Rakyat yang berikutnya.
