s 3 Appointment of Price Controller, Deputy Price Controller, Assistant Price Controller, etc.

(1) The Minister may appoint, from among public officers, a Price Controller, such number of Deputy Price Controllers and such number of Assistant Price Controllers and other officers as may be necessary for the purposes of this Act. (2) The Price Controller shall, subject to the general direction and control of the Minister, perform the duties imposed and exercise the powers conferred upon him under this Act. (3) The Deputy Price Controllers, Assistant Price Controllers and other officers appointed under subsection (1) shall be under the direction and control of the Price Controller. (4) Except as provided in sections 4, 5, 6 and 7, a Deputy Price Controller may perform all the duties imposed and exercise all the powers conferred upon the Price Controller under this Act. (5) The Price Controller and Deputy Price Controller may perform all the duties imposed and exercise all the powers conferred upon an Assistant Price Controller under this Act. (6) The Minister may authorize any public officer to exercise all or any of the powers under this Act or any regulations made under this Act. (7) All officers appointed under this section shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code [Act 574].

Pelantikan Pengawal Harga, Timbalan Pengawal Harga, Penolong Pengawal Harga, dsb.

(1) Menteri boleh melantik, daripada kalangan pegawai awam, seorang Pengawal Harga, apa-apa bilangan Timbalan Pengawal Harga dan apa-apa bilangan Penolong Pengawal Harga dan pegawai lain sebagaimana yang perlu bagi maksud Akta ini. (2) Pengawal Harga hendaklah, tertakluk kepada arahan dan kawalan am Menteri, melaksanakan kewajipan yang dikenakan dan menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan kepadanya di bawah Akta ini. (3) Timbalan Pengawal Harga, Penolong Pengawal Harga dan pegawai lain yang dilantik di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah berada di bawah arahan dan kawalan Pengawal Harga. (4) Kecuali sebagaimana yang diperuntukkan dalam seksyen 4, 5, 6 dan 7, Timbalan Pengawal Harga boleh melaksanakan segala kewajipan yang dikenakan ke atas dan menjalankan segala kuasa yang diberikan kepada Pengawal Harga di bawah Akta ini. (5) Pengawal Harga dan Timbalan Pengawal Harga boleh melaksanakan segala kewajipan yang dikenakan ke atas dan menjalankan segala kuasa yang diberikan kepada Penolong Pengawal Harga di bawah Akta ini. (6) Menteri boleh memberi kuasa mana-mana pegawai awam untuk menjalankan semua atau mana-mana kuasa di bawah Akta ini atau mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini. (7) Semua pegawai yang dilantik di bawah seksyen ini hendaklah disifatkan sebagai pekhidmat awam dalam pengertian Kanun Keseksaan [Akta 574].
