Kampong Bharu Development Corporation Act 2011 s 23
s 23 Temporary exercise of functions of Chairman
(1) The Minister may appoint any member of the Advisory Council to act temporarily as the Chairman for the period when—
(a) the office of the Chairman is vacant;
(b) the Chairman is absent from duty or from Malaysia; or
(c) the Chairman is, for any other reason, unable to perform the duties of his office.
(2) A member appointed under subsection (1) shall, during the period in which he is performing the functions of the Chairman under this section, be deemed to be the Chairman.

Penjalanan sementara fungsi Pengerusi
(1) Menteri boleh melantik mana-mana anggota Majlis Penasihat untuk bertindak secara sementara sebagai Pengerusi semasa tempoh apabila—
(a) jawatan pengerusi kosong;
(b) Pengerusi tidak hadir bertugas atau tidak ada di Malaysia; atau
(c) Pengerusi, kerana apa-apa sebab lain, tidak dapat melaksanakan kewajipan jawatannya.
(2) Anggota yang dilantik di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah, dalam tempoh yang anggota itu melaksanakan fungsi sebagai Pengerusi di bawah seksyen ini, disifatkan sebagai seorang Pengerusi.
