Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research Act 2012 s 49
s 49 Symbol, design or representation of Institute
(1) The Institute shall have the exclusive right to the use of such symbol, design or representation as the Institute may create, and thereafter display or exhibit it in connection with its activities or affairs.
(2) The symbol, design or representation created by the Institute shall be published in the Gazette.
(3) Any person who uses a symbol, design or representation of the Institute or any resemblance thereof, or creates any symbol, design or representation which refers to the Institute so as to deceive or cause confusion, or to be likely to deceive or cause confusion, commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.

Simbol, reka bentuk dan representasi Institut
(1) Institut mempunyai hak eksklusif untuk menggunakan simbol, reka bentuk atau representasi yang direka oleh Institut dan kemudiannya boleh memperaga atau mempamerkannya dalam aktiviti atau hal ehwal yang berkaitan dengannya.
(2) Simbol, reka bentuk atau representasi yang direka oleh Institut hendaklah disiarkan dalam Warta.
(3) Mana-mana orang yang menggunakan simbol, reka bentuk atau representasi Institut atau yang mempunyai persamaan dengannya, atau mereka sebarang simbol, reka bentuk atau representasi yang merujuk kepada Institut untuk memperdaya atau menyebabkan kekeliruan, atau boleh memperdaya atau menyebabkan kekeliruan, melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi lima puluh ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya.
