Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research Act 2012 s 48
(1) Data that is collected from other agencies for purposes of analysis under this Act shall not be retained longer than is necessary for the fulfillment of that purpose. (2) It shall be the duty of the Institute to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the data is destroyed or permanently deleted if it is no longer required for the purpose of which it was collected.

(1) Data yang diambil daripada agensi lain untuk maksud analisis di bawah Akta ini tidak boleh disimpan melebihi tempoh yang diperlukan bagi memenuhi maksud berkenaan. (2) Institut berkewajipan untuk mengambil semua langkah yang munasabah untuk memastikan bahawa data berkenaan telah dimusnahkan atau dipadam secara kekal jika ia tidak lagi diperlukan bagi maksud ianya diambil.
