s 6 Regulatory objectives
The principal regulatory objective of this Act is to promote financial stability and in pursuing this objective, the Bank shall—
(a) foster—
(i) the safety and soundness of financial institutions;
(ii) the integrity and orderly functioning of the money market and foreign exchange market;
(iii) safe, efficient and reliable payment systems and payment instruments; and
(iv) fair, responsible and professional business conduct of financial institutions; and
(b) strive to protect the rights and interests of consumers of financial services and products.

Objektif pengawalseliaan
Objektif pengawalseliaan utama Akta ini adalah untuk menggalakkan kestabilan kewangan dan bagi mencapai objektif ini, Bank hendaklah—
(a) memupuk—
(i) keselamatan dan kekukuhan institusi kewangan;
(ii) integriti dan keteraturan fungsi pasaran wang dan pasaran pertukaran wang asing;
(iii) keselamatan, kecekapan dan kebolehpercayaan sistem pembayaran dan instrumen pembayaran; dan
(iv) keadilan, kebertanggungjawaban dan pelakuan perniagaan institusi kewangan yang profesional; dan
(b) berusaha untuk melindungi hak dan kepentingan pengguna perkhidmatan dan produk kewangan.
