s 29 Power to impose, etc., research cess

(1) The Minister may, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, make orders for the imposition, variation or cancellation of a research cess on the exportation of all or any forest produce, and the order may specify the nature, amount and rate of the cess, person or class of persons on whom the cess is imposed and the manner of the collection of the cess. (2) An order made under subsection (1) shall be published in the Gazette. (3) Except as may be otherwise provided in an order made under subsection (1), such cess shall be deemed for the purposes of collecting and enforcing the collection thereof to be a customs duty imposed under the Customs Act 1967 [Act 235].

Kuasa untuk mengenakan, dsb., ses penyelidikan

(1) Menteri boleh, dengan persetujuan Menteri Kewangan, membuat perintah bagi pengenaan, pengubahan atau pembatalan ses penyelidikan atas pengeksportan semua atau mana-mana hasil hutan, dan perintah itu boleh menyatakan jenis, amaun dan kadar ses, orang atau golongan orang yang ke atasnya ses itu dikenakan dan cara kutipan ses itu. (2) Perintah yang dibuat di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah disiarkan dalam Warta. (3) Melainkan jika diperuntukkan selainnya dalam perintah yang dibuat di bawah subseksyen (1), ses itu hendaklah disifatkan sebagai duti kastam yang dikenakan di bawah Akta Kastam 1967 [Akta 235] bagi maksud mengutip dan menguatkuasakan pengutipan ses itu.
