Padi Cultivators (Control of Rent and Security of Tenure) Act 1967 s 12
In the event of a general failure of the padi crop due to natural disaster within the State, the Menteri Besar or Chief Minister shall on the advice of the State Agricultural Officer declare in the Gazette defining the extent of failure of the crop and boundaries of the affected area and shall state the percentage of the reduction of rent allowed to be paid by the tenant to the landlord.
Perisytiharan mengenai tanaman yang tidak menjadi secara keseluruhannya
Sekiranya tanaman padi tidak menjadi secara keseluruhannya akibat bencana alam di dalam Negeri, Menteri Besar atau Ketua Menteri hendaklah atas nasihat Pegawai Pertanian Negeri mengisytiharkan di dalam Warta dengan menyatakan takat tanaman itu yang tidak menjadi dan sempadan kawasan yang terjejas dan hendaklah menyatakan peratusan pengurangan sewa yang dibenarkan untuk dibayar oleh penyewa kepada tuan tanah.
