s 19 Exemption

(1) This Act shall not apply to— (a) members of any visiting force within the meaning of any law for the time being in force regulating visiting forces present in Malaysia; (b) persons duly accredited as diplomatic or consular representatives to Malaysia; (c) persons upon whom the immunities and privileges referred to in the Schedule to the Diplomatic Privileges (Vienna Convention) Act 1966 [Act 636] and in the Schedule to the Consular Relations (Vienna Convention) Act 1999 [Act 595] have been conferred under those Acts; (d) private servants or other employees of persons referred to in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) being employees recruited for such employment from the country of the visiting force or the country which the person referred to in paragraph (b) or (c) represents in Malaysia; (e) officers of any international organization declared by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong under section 3 a of the Diplomatic Privileges (Vienna Convention) Act 1966; and (f) persons whose presence in Malaysia is sponsored by the Government. (2) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by order exempt any person or class of persons from any or all of the provisions of this Act.

Pengecualian

(1) Akta ini tidak terpakai bagi— (a) anggota mana-mana suatu angkatan tentera pelawat mengikut pengertian mana-mana undang-undang yang pada masa itu berkuat kuasa yang mengawal selia angkatan tentera pelawat yang berada di Malaysia; (b) orang yang diberi tauliah dengan sewajarnya sebagai wakil diplomatik atau konsular ke Malaysia; (c) orang yang diberi kekebalan dan keistimewaan yang disebut dalam Jadual kepada Akta Keistimewaan Diplomatik (Konvensyen Vienna) 1966 [Akta 636] dan dalam Jadual kepada Akta Hubungan Konsular (Konvensyen Vienna) 1999 [Akta 595]; (d) pekhidmat persendirian atau pekerja lain bagi orang yang disebut dalam perenggan (a), (b) dan (c) iaitu pekerja yang diambil bekerja bagi pekerjaan itu dari negara angkatan tentera pelawat itu atau negara yang diwakili oleh orang yang disebut dalam perenggan (b) atau (c) di Malaysia; (e) pegawai mana-mana pertubuhan antarabangsa yang diisytiharkan oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong di bawah seksyen 3a Akta Keistimewaan Diplomatik (Konvensyen Vienna) 1966; dan (f) orang yang kehadirannya di Malaysia ditaja oleh Kerajaan. (2) Yang di-Pertuan Agong boleh melalui perintah mengecualikan mana-mana orang atau kelas orang daripada mana-mana atau kesemua peruntukan Akta ini.
