s 34 Job search allowance
(1) Subject to sections 35 and 36, if the claim for benefits in respect of an insured person has been approved under section 33, the insured person shall be entitled to a job search allowance—
(a) at the rate as specified in the Third Schedule; and
(b) for the period which shall be in accordance with the contributions qualifying conditions in respect of the claim for benefits by the insured person as specified in the Fourth Schedule.
(2) The payment for the job search allowance shall be made by the Organization immediately after the waiting period in such manner as prescribed.
(3) If an insured person has attained the minimum retirement age, the payment for the job search allowance shall continue to be paid to the insured person if the loss of employment occurs before the minimum retirement age.
(4) An insured person shall not be in any employment during the period of receiving the job search allowance.
(5) If an insured person accepts an offer of employment by any employer during the period of receiving the job search allowance, the insured person shall notify the Organization within seven days from the date of acceptance of the offer.
(6) Any person who contravenes subsection (4) or (5) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.

Elaun mencari pekerjaan
(1) Tertakluk pada seksyen 35 dan 36, jika tuntutan bagi faedah berkenaan dengan orang berinsurans telah diluluskan di bawah
seksyen 33, orang berinsurans itu berhak mendapat elaun mencari pekerjaan—
(a) pada kadar sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Ketiga; dan
(b) bagi tempoh yang hendaklah mengikut syarat kelayakan caruman berkenaan dengan tuntutan bagi faedah oleh orang berinsurans itu sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual Keempat.
(2) Bayaran bagi elaun mencari pekerjaan hendaklah dibuat oleh Pertubuhan sebaik selepas tempoh menunggu mengikut apa-apa cara sebagaimana yang ditetapkan.
(3) Jika orang berinsurans telah mencapai umur persaraan minimum, bayaran bagi elaun mencari pekerjaan itu hendaklah terus dibayar kepada orang berinsurans itu jika kehilangan pekerjaan itu berlaku sebelum umur persaraan minimum.
(4) Orang berinsurans tidak boleh berada dalam apa-apa pekerjaan semasa tempoh menerima elaun mencari pekerjaan.
(5) Jika orang berinsurans menerima suatu tawaran pekerjaan oleh mana-mana majikan dalam tempoh menerima elaun mencari pekerjaan, orang berinsurans itu hendaklah memberitahu Pertubuhan dalam masa tujuh hari dari tarikh penerimaan tawaran itu.
(6) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (4) atau (5) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi sepuluh ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi dua tahun atau kedua-duanya.
