s 56 Use of electronic service
(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act and subject to regulations made under this Act, the Director General may provide an electronic service to any registered user forβ
(a) the filing or furnishing of any application, return or any other document; and
(b) the service of any notice, direction, order, permit or any other document.
(2) Where an electronic notice is made and transmitted to the Director General, the Director General shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the registered user by reason of any error or omission of whatever nature or however arising appearing in any electronic notice obtained by the registered user under the electronic service if the error or omission was made in good faith and in the ordinary course of the discharge of the duties of the Director General or occurred or arose as a result of any defect or breakdown in the electronic service or in the equipment used for the provision of the electronic service.
(3) Any electronic notice made and transmitted by the registered user shall be deemed to have been filed, furnished or served at the time the electronic notice is received by the Director General.
(4) For the purposes of this section, βregistered userβ means any person who is authorized in writing by the Director General to gain access to and use the electronic service.

Penggunaan perkhidmatan elektronik
(1) Walau apa pun apa-apa peruntukan lain Akta ini dan tertakluk kepada peraturan-peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini, Ketua Pengarah boleh menyediakan suatu perkhidmatan elektronik kepada mana-mana pengguna berdaftar bagiβ
(a) pemfailan atau pengemukaan apa-apa permohonan, penyata atau apa-apa dokumen lain; dan
(b) penyampaian apa-apa notis, arahan, perintah, permit atau apa-apa dokumen lain.
(2) Jika suatu notis elektronik dibuat dan dihantar kepada Ketua Pengarah, Ketua Pengarah tidak bertanggungan terhadap apa-apa kerugian atau kerosakan yang ditanggung oleh pengguna berdaftar itu atas sebab apa-apa kesilapan atau peninggalan tidak kira dengan apa jua sifat atau tidak kira bagaimana jua sekalipun berbangkit yang terdapat dalam apa-apa notis elektronik yang diperoleh oleh pengguna berdaftar di bawah perkhidmatan elektronik jika kesilapan atau peninggalan itu dibuat dengan suci hati dan dalam penjalanan biasa penunaian kewajipan Ketua Pengarah atau berlaku atau timbul akibat daripada apa-apa kecacatan atau kegagalan dalam perkhidmatan eletronik itu atau dalam kelengkapan yang digunakan bagi penyediaan perkhidmatan elektronik itu.
(3) Apa-apa notis elektronik yang dibuat dan dihantar oleh pengguna berdaftar hendaklah disifatkan sebagai telah difailkan, dikemukakan atau disampaikan pada masa notis elektronik itu diterima oleh Ketua Pengarah.
(4) Bagi maksud seksyen ini, βpengguna berdaftarβ ertinya mana-mana orang yang diberi kuasa secara bertulis oleh Ketua Pengarah untuk mengakses dan menggunakan perkhidmatan eletronik.
