s 57 Authentication of notices, etc.
(1) Subject to subsection (2), every notice or any other document served for the purposes of this Act by the Director General or an officer authorized by him shall be sufficiently authenticated if the name and office of the Director General is printed, stamped or otherwise written thereon.
(2) Where this Act provides for a notice or any other document to be under the hand of any officer of customs, the notice or the other document shall be signed in manuscript by the officer of customs.
(3) A notice or any other document served for the purposes of this Act and purporting to be signed in manuscript by the Director General or an officer authorized by him shall be presumed, until the contrary is proved, to have been so signed.

Pengesahan notis, dsb.
(1) Tertakluk kepada subseksyen (2), tiap-tiap notis atau apa-apa dokumen lain yang disampaikan bagi maksud Akta ini oleh Ketua Pengarah atau seseorang pegawai yang diberi kuasa oleh Ketua Pengarah adalah disahkan dengan secukupnya jika nama dan jawatan Ketua Pengarah itu dicetak, dicap atau selainnya ditulis di atasnya.
(2) Jika Akta ini memperuntukkan bagi suatu notis atau apa-apa dokumen lain hendaklah di bawah tandatangan mana-mana pegawai kastam, notis atau dokumen lain itu hendaklah ditandatangani dalam manuskrip oleh pegawai kastam itu.
(3) Suatu notis atau apa-apa dokumen lain yang disampaikan bagi maksud Akta ini dan berupa sebagai ditandatangani dalam manuskrip oleh Ketua Pengarah atau pegawai yang diberi kuasa olehnya hendaklah dianggap, sehingga dibuktikan sebaliknya, telah ditandatangani sedemikian.
