s 153 Power of Registrar to allow extension of time
(1) Where by this Act, a time is specified within which an act or thing is to be done, the Registrar may, unless otherwise expressly provided or directed by the Court, upon application in the form as determined by the Registrar, extend the time either before or after its expiration upon payment of the prescribed fee.
(2) Subsection (1) shall not be applicable to sections 26, 27 and 28 except where the circumstances under subsection (3) apply.
(3) Where by reason of—
(a) an error or omission by the person or by his registered trademark agent;
(b) circumstances beyond the control of the person or by his registered trademark agent; or
(c) an error or action on the part of the Trademark Office,
an act in relation to an application for the registration of trademark or in proceedings under this Act (not being proceedings in a Court) required to be done within a certain time has not been so done, the Registrar may extend the time for doing the act.
(4) The time required for doing an act under subsection (3) may be extended even though that time has expired.

Kuasa Pendaftar untuk membenarkan pelanjutan masa
(1) Jika oleh Akta ini, suatu masa dinyatakan berkenaan dengan perbuatan atau benda itu hendak dilakukan, Pendaftar boleh, melainkan jika diperuntukkan dengan nyata atau diarahkan oleh Mahkamah, atas permohonan dalam bentuk yang ditentukan oleh Pendaftar, melanjutkan masa sama ada sebelum atau selepas habis tempohnya apabila fi yang ditetapkan dibayar.
(2) Subseksyen (1) tidak terpakai bagi seksyen 26, 27 dan 28 kecuali jika hal keadaan di bawah subseksyen (3) terpakai.
(3) Jika atas sebab—
(a) suatu kesilapan atau peninggalan oleh orang itu atau oleh ejen cap dagangan berdaftarnya;
(b) hal keadaan di luar kawalan orang itu atau oleh ejen cap dagangan berdaftarnya; atau
(c) suatu kesilapan atau tindakan di pihak Pejabat Cap Dagangan,
suatu perbuatan berhubung dengan permohonan bagi pendaftaran cap dagangan atau dalam prosiding di bawah Akta ini (yang bukan prosiding dalam Mahkamah) yang dikehendaki untuk dilakukan dalam masa yang tertentu belum dilakukan sedemikian, Pendaftar boleh melanjutkan masa untuk melakukan tindakan itu.
(4) Masa yang diperlukan untuk melakukan tindakan di bawah subseksyen (3) boleh dilanjutkan walaupun masa itu telah habis tempoh.
