Schedule 3 to the Police Reform Act 2002 (c. 30) is amended as follows.

In paragraph 20(1)— (a) for “until” substitute until— (a) the appropriate authority has certified the case as a special case under paragraph 20B(3) or 20E(3), or (b) the words from “a report” to the end become paragraph (b).
