s 54 Establishment and duties of Commission
(1) The Commission shall have the following duties (a) to work towards the elimination of discrimination, (aa) to work towards the elimination of harassment that is contrary to any of the provisions of this Order, (b) to promote equality of opportunity between men and women generally, . . . (bb) to promote equality of opportunity . . . for persons who intend to undergo, are undergoing or have undergone gender reassignment, and (c) to keep under review the working of this Order and the Equal Pay Act and, when the Commission is so required by the Department for Communities or otherwise thinks it necessary, draw up and submit to the Department for Communities proposals for amending them.
