(1) This paragraph applies where, immediately before the commencement of Part IV, a child— (a) was in the care of the Department or an authority under section 103 of the Children and Young Persons Act (Northern Ireland) 1968; or (b) was deemed by virtue of subsection (7) of that section to have come within the care of the Department or an authority. (2) Where this paragraph applies, the child shall, after the commencement of Part IV, be treated for the purposes of this Order as a child who is provided with accommodation under Part IV, but he shall cease to be so treated once he ceases to be so accommodated in accordance with the provisions of that Part.
