Medical Act 1983 s 29C

s 29C Dealing with questions as to impairment of fitness to practise

(1) Paragraph (2) applies if— (a) in the course of revalidation, it comes to the attention of a licensing authority that a medical practitioner’s fitness to practise is called into question by one or more of the matters mentioned in section 35C(2) below; but (b) no allegation to that effect has been made to the General Council against the practitioner. (2) The Registrar shall notify the practitioner and section 35C below shall apply as if an allegation that the practitioner’s fitness to practise is impaired had been made to the General Council under that section.
