s 79T Inspection: Wales.

(1) The Assembly may at any time require any registered person to provide it with any information connected with the person’s activities as a child minder or provision of day care which the Assembly considers it necessary to have for the purposes of its functions under this Part. (2) The Assembly may by regulations make provision— (a) for the inspection of . . . child minding provided in Wales by registered persons and of day care provided by registered persons on premises in Wales; (b) for the publication of reports of the inspections in such manner as the Assembly considers appropriate. (3) The regulations may provide for the inspections to be organised by— (a) the Assembly; or (b) Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales, or any other person, under arrangements made with the Assembly. (4) The regulations may provide for subsections (2) to (4) of section 29 of the Education Act 2005 to apply with modifications in relation to the publication of reports under the regulations.
