s 37 Consequential amendments and repeals.
(1) In the definition of “ ophthalmic optician ” in section 128(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977 and section 108(1) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978— (a) for “section 2 of the Opticians Act 1958” there shall be substituted “section 7 of the Opticians Act 1989”; and (b) for “section 4” there shall be substituted “section 9”. (4) The enactments mentioned in Schedule 2 to this Act are repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule. (5) Paragraphs 3 to 5 of Schedule 3 to the Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 are revoked.
