(1) Section 19 of that Act (power to require creation of smoke control areas by local authorities) as it applies to Scotland shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this paragraph. (2) In subsection (1)— (a) for the words “Secretary of State” there shall be substituted the words “Scottish Environment Protection Agency (in this section referred to as “ the Agency ”)”; and (b) for the words “he”, “him” and “his” there shall be substituted respectively “the Agency”, “it” and “its”. (3) In subsections (2), (3), (4)(a) and (6), for the words “Secretary of State” there shall be substituted the words “Agency”. (4) In subsection (3), for the word “him” there shall be substituted the word “it”. (5) In subsection (4), before the words “the Secretary of State” in the second place where they occur there shall be inserted the words “the Agency, with the consent of”.
