(1) In section 17(2) of the Housing Act 1985 (acquisition of land for housing purposes) at end insert “ or facilities which serve a beneficial purpose in connection with the requirements of persons for whom housing accommodation is provided ” . (2) In section 74(3)(b) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (land excluded from Housing Revenue Account) at end insert “ or facilities which serve a beneficial purpose in connection with the requirements of persons for whom housing accommodation is provided ” .
