(1) A scheme is to consist of— (a) a map, (b) a written statement, and (c) such diagrams, illustrations and other descriptive matter as the relevant planning authority think appropriate for explaining or illustrating the scheme's provisions. (2) A scheme must specify— (a) the area to which the scheme relates, (b) the development, or descriptions of development, for which the scheme grants authorisation, (c) the date on which the scheme comes into effect, (d) the date on which the scheme ceases to have effect. (3) The Scottish Ministers may by regulations prescribe further information that must be included in a scheme. (4) A scheme may not specify as the date on which it ceases to have effect a date that falls more than 10 years after it comes into effect. (5) In sub-paragraph (1)(c), “ the relevant planning authority ” means the authority in whose district the area to which the scheme relates lies.
