s 16A Participation of children and young people in local development plan
(1) A planning authority must make such arrangements as they consider appropriate to promote and facilitate participation by children and young people (meaning for the purpose of this section a person aged 25 or under) in the preparation of the local development plan. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), planning authorities must first consider discharging their duty under subsection (1) by means of contact with schools, youth councils and youth parliament representatives within their district. (3) A planning authority must— (a) publish information about its arrangements under subsection (1), and (b) keep the information published up to date.
