(1) Section 3 (power to displace reporting restrictions under section 1) is amended as follows. (2) In subsection (6)(b) (meaning of “judge”), after “Crown Court” insert “ in England and Wales. ” (3) After subsection (6) insert— (6A) In its application to Northern Ireland, this section has effect as if— (a) in subsections (1) and (2) for any reference to the judge there were substituted a reference to the court; and (b) subsection (6) were omitted.
