(1) The Department of Justice must issue guidance as to— (a) the making of applications under paragraph 2 or 6; and (b) the determination by the Chief Constable of such applications. (2) The Department of Justice may, from time to time, revise the guidance issued under sub-paragraph (1). (3) The Department of Justice must arrange for any guidance issued or revised under this paragraph to be published in such manner as it considers appropriate.
