(1) The Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999 is amended as follows. (2) In section 35 (cross examination of child witnesses), in subsection (3)(a), after sub-paragraph (v) insert or (vi) Part 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003; (3) In section 62 (meaning of “sexual offence” etc.), for subsection (1) substitute— (1) In this Part “ sexual offence ” means any offence under Part 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
