(1) This paragraph applies to a person if— (a) the person has been convicted of an offence committed on or after 30 September 1998 but before 4 April 2005, (b) the person is serving a section 85 extended sentence in respect of that offence, (c) the person has not previously been released from prison on licence in respect of that sentence, and (d) paragraph 4 does not apply to the person.
