In section 1 (purposes of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Act), in subsection (2)— (a) in paragraph (a), after “community orders” there is inserted “ (as defined by section 177 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003) ” , and (b) after paragraph (c) there is inserted— (d) giving effect to suspended sentence orders (as defined by section 189 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003).
