In section 25 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (no bail for defendants charged with or convicted of homicide or rape after previous conviction of such offences), in paragraph (c) of the definition of “conviction” in subsection (5)— (a) the words “placing the offender on probation or” are omitted, and (b) for “him” there is substituted “ the offender ” .
