(1) An NHS foundation trust is a public benefit corporation the function of which is to provide in accordance with this Chapter goods and services for the purposes of the health service in England. (2) A public benefit corporation is a body corporate which, in pursuance of an application under this Chapter, is constituted in accordance with Schedule 7.
