s 18 Notification by medical practitioner to senior coroner
(1) The Lord Chancellor may make regulations requiring a registered medical practitioner, in prescribed cases or circumstances, to notify a senior coroner of a death of which the practitioner is aware. (2) Before making regulations under this section the Lord Chancellor must consult— (a) the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care , and (b) the Chief Coroner.
