reg 1 Citation, commencement, interpretation and extent
(1) These Regulations may be cited as the General Social Care Council (Appointments and Procedure) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 10th June 2001. (2) In these Regulations– “the Act” means the Care Standards Act 2000; “the chairman” means the chairman of the Council; “the Council” means the General Social Care Council established under section 54 of the Act; “member” means a member of the Council other than the chairman. (3) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, any reference to a numbered regulation is a reference to the regulation bearing that number in these Regulations, and any reference to a numbered paragraph is a reference to the paragraph bearing that number in that regulation. (4) These Regulations extend to England only.
