reg 55 Amendment of article 23
In article 23 (appeals against decisions on inclusion in the Registers)— (a) after paragraph (1) insert— (1A) A decision by the Registrar of the GMC to refuse to register a person— (a) in the General Practitioner Register pursuant to article 10(2)(d), or (b) in the Specialist Register pursuant to article 13(2)(d), shall also be treated as an appealable registration decision under Schedule 3A to the Medical Act and the procedure in that Schedule shall accordingly apply. (b) in paragraph (2), for “article 16(1) within the time specified in article 16(2) or, where applicable, article 16(4)” substitute “ article 16(2) within the time specified in article 16(3) ” .
