reg 55 Consequences of exercise of powers under this Part

(1) Where in preliminary proceedings the judge advocate is of opinion that, in consequence of the exercise of any power of the court under this Part, it is in the interests of justice— (a) that the commencement of the trial proceedings be postponed, or (b) that a defendant be arraigned or re-arraigned on any charge, the judge advocate shall make such order or give such direction as appears necessary. (2) Where in trial proceedings the judge advocate is of opinion that in consequence of the exercise of any power of the court under this Part it is in the interests of justice— (a) that the proceedings be adjourned, (b) that the lay members be discharged, or (c) that a defendant be arraigned or re-arraigned on any charge, the judge advocate shall make such order or give such direction as appears necessary.
